Birthday Cards

My friend's lil guy turns ONE in a cpl days and I made him this card. I used an image that a fellow member of my group sent me. All I had to do was color it!! I cricuted a *1* then stuck it to some chipboard and cut it out. I heat embossed the title and did lots of distressing too!!

This card was made for my same friend's lil girl who is turning 5! She loves princesses esp Sleeping Beauty. I printed out the image online, popped it and used liquid glass on her dress :) Nothing too fancy, but I think she'll like it!

Altered Gift Bag *Birthday*

I made this bag for a swap. I didn't make one for myself as I have decided I'm so over swaps. I am happy enough with how it turned out tho. I printed the image from online and cut out a second one to *pop* it. I used liquid glass on her bonnet bow and stickles for his buttons and her lil purse. Just thought I'd share a little of what I have done, which isn't much!

Got Frog? WILLIE!

Todd found a frog in the yard the other day and the kids (well 2 of them) had a ball with it. That is until WILLIE couldn't hold *it* anymore. Yep Willie, that is the frog's name, so said the youngens. Here are a few pictures I captured..........stay tuned, they will one day be featured in a layout!

Creative Talentz? Round 2!

As stated before, scrapathon was this past weekend and I'm exhausted!!! I created 10 pages!!!!! It was a whirlwind weekend of scrappy fun, but I'm glad it's done. Here are a few more pages I made.

*Say it in ONE* This was a challenge where you had to title your layout with only ONE word....in addition you had to use stitching in someway on your page. For this page I made the guitar (an idea I saw in a mag) it was a long process....first to draw it, then cut, then ink, cut the frets, then draw the strings, poke holes, then stitch them!!! Wow! So worth the time, I love how it turned out. I also inked and crackled grungeboard for the title. For such a simple page, it sure was a lot of work.

The challenge: * I Dare You* The Dare: To use a supersized puncuation mark, minimum of 5" I chose a question mark and titled it "why?" This is pretty much lil man's favorite word!!! My mark was 9.5 inches!!! I did a lot of stitching on this page, but loved it. I chose to embellish with spidey (X's Fave superhero) b/c he was wearing his coolio spidey shades!!! I hope he looks back on these pages fondly, I know I will.

OMG, I LOVE THIS PAGE!!! LOL. The challenge was to create a *WANTED* layout. I mulled over this for days and then it hit me!!! I had this picture (a joke of course) of Todd on his last day at CJ's. He was sooooo happy to be outta that place and we went out for some much needed fun! I scanned the pic in as it was just too small and in color, made it sepia, added his crimes and printed it out. I inked and distressed the heck outta this page, tho I feel it's lack luster in the color department, I think it makes it feel a little more authentic. I showed it to Todd.....he laughed but said I was mean, LOL. I say naaah, I LOVE iT!!! Watch out bloggers, I hear Smitty is on the loose!!!

Creative Talentz?

The Scrapathon is offically over and I'm posting the work I created over the last 4 days. I truly adore SAT, but I feel like everything suffers. Family, house and esp my aching body!!! Luckily I have an amazing husband who understands my creative need for this hobby and for SAT and he is very supportive (even if he doesn't want to be). It only happens 4 times a year, so I figure it's a sacrifice from all, but one that we will have memories from for a lifetime. Here are a few of the pages....stay tuned for post #2 with the rest.

This page was done for a create a picture window challenge. And boy oh boy was it ever a challenge. The cutting of all the strips and trying to adhere them together perfectly without gluing them directly to the photo was challenge in itself. I used chipboard for the shutters. I first inked it with black ink, then I used tim's crackle paint (note to self: get more of this stuff - it freakin' rocks) I used a brown and reddish color. then i did a little more ink distressing. added my title and flowers as if in a window box. I am pleased with how this page turned out. I cant believe that photo was already 3 years ago. I'm so very sad at how time flies.

Now this page was done for the Honor and Rememberance Challenge. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew exactly who would hold the spotlight in this page. My Grandma. She was such a huge part of my life and my crafty hero. I miss her so much, but remember her so fondly. I found this page on the net somewhere and loved it so much. I knew I had to replicate to the best of my abilities. I love you Grandma!! aka Ruthie :D

ahhhh, the *duplicate* challenge. And it SO was!!! A supply list was given of what we needed to have on our layouts. We could use whatever else we wanted as long as the itemized list was included. Red, black and white were the main theme, so I went straight for the Disney pictures. The ones from 2003!!! *shakes head in disbelief*

French!? Who knew!! The Challenge: Create a page with the title being solely in another language. I chose french, lol. *brisant du coeur* means HeartBreaker!! Ain't that the truth. My little guy is such a cutie - of course I'm biased, he's mine!!! The page itself is just okay, but the pictures makes it incredible!

*the girls*

Once again, another SAT page. For this challenge, we had to use fabric on our LO. I am not entirely happy with this page. I had intended on something completely different to do with fabric and couldn't pull all my thoughts together. I then decided to make flowers out of felt. I do like the way they turned out and they were fairly simple to make. Hope to get some more work done today.....we'll see.

Jack This!!!

I did this page for a challenge *Jack This* A LO was posted and we needed to come up with our own version of the page but still including in the essentials...3 patterned papers, 9 brads, 3 handmade embellies (my beloved lollies) scallops and solid CS for the background. Hope I did it justice. These pictures are of my lil guy and his *girls* when we ventured to the Columbus zoo for a relaxing day with some friends!

the FIRST of MANY.....hopefully

Okay, so this weekend is our 4th Scrapathon for the group I own, Scrap Happy! Basically we scrap different challenges all weekend to see who can win! This is my first of what I hope to be many pages. The Challenge : Create a LO based on the idea of opposites.....meaning for girl pictures, decorate and embellish in non-traditional girl colors. NO PINK & PURPLE. Purple so not an issue for me because I don't tend to scrap with it much anyway. Here it is...a pictures of my girls with my Mom in Florida last year by her pool. One down.....CHECK!
